His early works in clay, sculptures, and assemblage has gravitated to and through various other avenues and phases. Some of those Phases include The Nail Fettish, Boxes, Fencing, Abstract, and Assemblage. "I often don't know where a piece will end up when started. As for the Artist's life, I have to tell y'all that we're all artists. Every kid will scribble with crayons, stack blocks and rocks, it's just that most people close off that door around age 10 or so. Why? I don't know, as I was compelled to leave the door open.
Where does the door go? To the metaphysical world. To the dreamtime. To the part of the subconscious where art is found.
Many times I find a solution to art projects when half asleep; asleep but conscious.
